How managed Business Systems work

What a managed Business System is, how one goes from a mapped task to a system you can trust, and who looks after it afterward.

What one system is

One Business System is one named NigelBuilds system built around one recurring business outcome. Every step required to deliver that outcome is included.

Every system starts in shadow mode. Messages are drafts you approve and send yourself.

From a task to a running system

  • Work Map: We map the repetitive work and give each task one verdict: keep, turn on, connect, build or replace.
  • Implement: We connect, build or configure the systems you chose around your rules and supported tools.
  • Shadow: The system runs on real work while its output is held for review. Nothing consequential reaches a customer.
  • Approve: You review what it did and approve the categories that may run.
  • Live: Approved categories go live where it is safe. Everything else stays in review.
  • Managed: Failed steps retry with backoff, then are held for review. Stuck work is restarted. You get Weekly Results.
  • Improve: Rules and templates are tuned as your work changes. New systems are added when they earn it.

Who looks after it

A managed system is not a tool you have to babysit. Someone watches the runs, retries what failed, holds what is unsure for review and tunes the rules as your work changes. You keep the decisions that need judgment, and every change that matters goes through an approval you control.
